New hobby

… and a new blog. Wood is my new medium, and I want to catch up on some of my favorite things I’ve made of it so far.

This is a simple rainbow stacker- my first bandsaw project. Very simple to cut- but, sanding and painting and finishing- phew. I understand why these types of toys are pretty expensive!

 It’s a fun toy. In addition to stacking, it makes tunnels, corrals for my daughter’s little toy animals, and a great big “muddy puddle” when they’re all laid out in a circle (we’re going through a Peppa Pig phase)!
