A rainbow of valentines
This year was my daughter’s first school Valentine’s Day. She’s not writing her name yet, so, I had her help make some simple valentines for her classmates.
First we gave the little wooden hearts a light sand. Then, using a mini muffin tin, we mixed up a whole bunch of food coloring dyes. I sealed them with a glitter coat, drilled a bunch of tiny holes, stuck jump rings on and threaded them onto lengths of a soft cotton yarn tied with adjustable slip knots. They came out pretty hippie-esque, I think, but, they were fun to make. 🙂
